RECOMMENDED DU'A (SUPPLICATIONS)

12. Du’a for Seeking Knowledge

Transliteration:

     Rabbi zidni ‘ilman

Translation:

     Lord, increase me in knowledge.

13. Du’a for Wisdom, Posterity and Janat

Transliteration:

     Rabbi habli hukman, wa alhiqni bis-saalihin (83). Waj’al-li lisaana sidqin fil aakhirin (84). Waj’alni min wa rathati jan-natin-na’im (85).

Translation:

     Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous, and give me a true and lasting reputation among posterity and include me among the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.

14. Du’a for Clarity and Eloquence of Thought and Speech

Transliteration:

     Qala rabbish rahli sadri (25), wa yas-sirli amri (26), wah lul ‘uqdatam-mil-lisaani (27), yaf qahu qawli (28).

Translation:

     Lord, expand my breast for me: and make for me: and remove every impediment from my speech, that people may understand what I say.

15. Du’a for Righteous Progeny

Transliteration:

     Rabbi habli minas-saalihin

Translation:

          Lord, grant me righteous progeny.

16. Du’a for Pure Offspring

Transliteration:

     Rabbi habli mila dunka zur-ri-yatan tai-ibatan, in-naka sami ‘ud-du’aa.

Translation:

     Lord grant me from Yourself pure offspring, surely You are the Hearer of Prayer.
